📏 Neon Sign Sizes — How to Pick the Right One

Six sizes, from 20 x 10 in up to 40 x 19 in. For a storefront, pick by how far away people need to read it, not by how much wall you have.

💡 Sizing rule for storefronts: most people under-buy on this one. If your window sits back from the pavement, or people are walking past on the far side of the street, go up at least one size from what looks right on your desk. A sign nobody reads in time isn't doing its job.

🪟 Can I put it in my shop window?+

Yes — hung inside the glass, facing out. Use the optional hanging chain to suspend it from a rail or ceiling hook rather than drilling the frame, and leave a small air gap between the sign and the glass so condensation on cold mornings doesn't sit against it. What it can't do is mount on the outside of the building: it isn't weatherproof.

☀️ Is it visible in bright daylight?+

Honestly: less so than at dusk or after dark, and that's true of every neon sign, LED or glass. In direct midday sun with glare on the glass it competes with the daylight. It reads clearly on overcast days, in shaded or covered frontages, and it's at its strongest from late afternoon onward. If your trade is mostly daytime and your window catches full sun, size up — a 32 x 15 in reads through glare far better than a 24 x 11 in.

↔️ Is it double-sided? What does it look like from inside?+

It's single-sided. Facing out to the street, staff and customers inside will see the back of the acrylic and the word reversed. That's normal for a window sign and most businesses don't mind, but it's worth knowing before you choose where to hang it. If it needs to read correctly from inside, mount it on an interior wall instead.

🌧️ Can I mount it outside above the door?+

No. It's rated for indoor, dry use only and isn't sealed against rain or humidity. For an exterior-mounted sign you need a properly weather-rated commercial unit, which is a different product entirely.

💵 How much does it cost to run all day?+

Up to 80% less energy than glass neon — a few cents a day, even running through full trading hours seven days a week.
