💡 Sizing rule: above a bed, your sign should span about half to two-thirds of the headboard width — 24 x 17 in over a single or double, 28 x 20 in over a queen. Above a desk, 24 x 17 in is right for a standard 48 in desk. This design reads better slightly understated than oversized.

It's the design people most often choose for that. Two practical notes: Warm White is the safest colour when you don't know their room, and 24 x 17 in fits almost any wall without dominating it. Because it's handmade to order, allow three weeks if you need it by a particular date.
